WETT Visual Inspection Information and Pricing
Flat Rate: $250 per wood burning appliance
All inspections include a written report using WETT (Wood Energy Technology Transfer) inspection forms. Each section of the report will indicate whether it is Compliant, Not Compliant, Not Applicable, or Unable to Inspect (UTI) based on the inspection level.
What is WETT Level 1 Visual Inspection?
Best for:
- Real estate transactions.
- Insurance requests.
- Fire Code compliance.
- Personal peace of mind prior to appliance use.
Scope:
- A non-invasive inspection of all visible components.
- Solid-fuel-burning appliance and venting system.
- Measurement of required clearances.
- Operation of stove doors, dampers, and ground-accessible clean-out doors.
- Chimney inspection from the ground.
- Identification of visible deficiencies or red flags.
Outcome:
A report is provided using WETT inspection forms. If concerns are observed, a Technical inspection may be recommended.
